The Red Roof Children's Day Nursery

For our youngest children this play space offers opportunities for exploration, investigation and activities that support their interests. The routine consists of child led play with some adult led activities to support and enhance learning and development opportunities. 

For their next step in learning children will move into the preschool room offering more routine, structure and adult led tasks alongside a vast assortment of continuous provision for amazing free play opportunities. The Red Room is used for snack time, focused learning and tasks requiring a quieter, calmer space. It also promotes opportunities for children to develop their independence skills to help prepare them for their next steps in learning.

This is a large play space to enable children to move their bodies and take part in physical activity to support a healthy lifestyle. We have varied resources that are used in the playground to support cooperative play, communication skills and physical development.

A separate space for meals; promoting social interaction which supports good eating habits for children. The nursery menu is varied to offer both a healthy, balanced diet and diverse meals.

The additional play spaces in nursery. Our soft play room is an amazing space for children to develop their climbing and movement skills in a safe indoor environment. The sensory space offers a calming, quiet space for children to take part in small group play or to rest and relax.
